When I order take out there is a 95% chance it’s either beef with broccoli or chicken with broccoli. Getting beef with broccoli JUST right at home is NOT an easy task. I’ve figured it out though. You need the right cut of meat to have perfectly tender/not chewy bites. And as always, it’s all in the sauce. Less is more with this one.


BEEF AND BROCCOLI
hands down the easiest beef and broccoli you'll ever make that's packed with flavor
Ingredients
- Broccolini thinly sliced
BEEF
- 4 oz sirloin tips thinly sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp corn starch
SAUCE
- stock/water 2-3 TBSP
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp chili garlic sauce or 1/2 tsp crushed red peppers
- ½ cup soy sauce low sodium
- 2-3 tbsp honey
Instructions
BROCCOLINI
- cut to desired size. thinly sliced works best
- in a pan with a light spray of oil, sauté them with a sprinkle of salt until softened and slightly crips
- set aside
BEEF
- season with onion powder, garlic powder, and corn starch
- set aside
SAUCE
- in a pan add the minced garlic, minced ginger, and chili sauce
- saute for a minute and add in a splash of stock/water
- add beef in and allow it to brown
- once browned add in soy sauce and honey mix
- let the sauce thicken
- add broccolini back in
SERVE
- with a side of rice and top with sesame seeds
- ENJOY
