Pasta is always a great idea in our house. How many flavors/ sauce variations can we really come up with? I don’t think there will ever be an answer as it’s endless. From super simple to something complex- pasta is just amazing.
This recipe is light, easy, and delicious. We find ourselves making it the most on hot summer days. There are very few ingredients- ones you probably have on hand and takes about 20 minutes to throw together.

LEMON BUTTER shrimp pasta
a quick, easy, flavorful pasta that's perfect in time for summer meals
Ingredients
SHRIMP
- 1 lb shrimp mine were raw, peeled, and deveined
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt to preference
- oil drizzle
PASTA SAUCE
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp AP flour
- 1.5 cup stock or water
- 2 lemons juiced
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese grated
- ½ cup pasta water
GARNISH
- fresh parsley
Instructions
PASTA
- start off by boiling salted water and cook your pasta
- don't forget to reserve some pasta water
SHRIMP
- add seasoning to shrimp and mix
- cook until golden on both sides then set aside leaving all the juice at the bottom of the pan
SAUCE
- add butter and minced garlic. once that sautéed down-
- whisk in flour
- work quickly and add in stock, lemon juice, and lemon zest
- mix and add in seasonings (salt, black pepper, and onion powder)
- add in cooked pasta
- top it with reserved pasta water and parmesan cheese
- on low heat let the sauce coat the noodles
SERVE
- plate the pasta, top with shrimp, and fresh parsley
- ENJOY
